Color Blocking

I love color blocking. But, I understand why it makes some people nervous. You never know which colors go together. So, I put together a little color chart with some of my favorite colors to use when color blocking. Each color looks great when paired with the color below it. Each color also looks great with the color to the right of it. The items in each of the color boxes will look great with the item below it or to the right of it.

I Cleaned My Closet!

I cleaned my closet. It needed to be done. Why? Because I am moving back to California in less than three months and the hubby and I agreed to only take what fits in our two cars. Everything else we'll sell or donate. So, with that being said, it was time to cut down my closet. The pictures below are after the purge...

Believe it or not, I did get rid of three garbage bags full of stuff. The rest I put on eBay. I'm sure I'll do one more purge before we leave. Hmm, maybe I should stop buying stuff until we move back... that way I know everything will fit... NAH! No shopping for three months? Who am I kidding?

Outfit Post: New Camera

Some of you have noticed a drastic change in the photo quality on my blog. It's because I have a new camera. By new camera, I mean my first camera. That's right. Up until now, I've just been using my iPhone 4. But, not anymore. Thanks to my wonderful husband, I have a brand new Cannon EOS Rebel T2i. I love it. In fact, we're in a relationship together. We eat breakfast with one another, go shopping with one another, and we even sleep together. Okay, maybe not the last one but I really do spend a lot of time with it.

I've always been a sunglass lover. Sunglasses can transform an outfit. They can transform you. They can make you feel instantly cooler/sexier/mysterious. This season I'm on the hunt for the perfect pair of cat eye sunnies. Above is my inspiration. I can't decide if I want a bright color or basic black.

Trends In Nail Polish

Neons. They are all the rage right now. Especially for nails. I can't get enough of them!  

Orange. Especially tangerine tango! It's the color of the year after all. 

Yellow. I've been obsessed with neon yellow nail polish since Katy Perry wore it to the VMA's last year.
