I regularly get texts or calls from friends asking for fashion advice. I usually give the same advice.
1. Add colored shoes.
Why? Because color blocking is fun. Because it's bold. Because shoes are a gift from God and you should enjoy them. A simple black dress looks good with a black heel but it would look better with a cobalt blue heel. But, what doesn't look good with a cobalt heel?

2. Add a belt.
It defines your waist. It adds depth. It's trendy. Each of the below outfits would look fine without a belt. But, with the belt, they are cuter, trendier, and figure flattering.

3. Layer it.
It adds depth. It adds color. It adds funk. These pictures are of Bee from Atlantic-Pacific. I think she is the queen of layering. She makes it look like an art form.

What do you think? What style advice do you give? What style advice have you gotten?

Great tips! I love the photos of Atlantic Pacific and she is definitely the queen of layering:-) I think the best advice I was given is to update your wardrobe with accessories and stick to classics that never go out of style.
